How best to get a job with Class Quick.

If you want to know how best to get a job with Class Quick it is actually very simple.

You need to be alert and ready! Class Quick has over 12,000 new jobs added per month, just over 500 per day on average. You need it so that the moment that job advert goes live you are alerted and ready!

This is pretty simple;

1) Add a resume/CV – This is free to do and makes employers aware of you. Also employers have candidate alerts at their end. The moment they post a job it brings up a list of all people suitable for the position. All you have to do to post a resume/CV with us is register then on select ‘Post Resume’ from the admin panel and follow the instructions. Unlike some job boards this is a totally free service.

2) Job Alerts – Now this is the part you really need more than anything else. At the moment some advertisers with us are filling the positions within a day of them being posted so you need to know when the positions become available so you can apply straight away. This is also free to do and very easy to set up. Again go into your admin area and just select job alerts as shown in the picture. Then set up the alert so you get notified the moment a job in your area and chosen field becomes available.

If you need any help setting this up just contact us and we will do our best to assist you.

Using Job Boards To Get Employment.

Let me explain something to you from the very start here. This make or may not shock you but it is something no other job board will tell you and you will be surprised I am telling you this when I am even going to ask you to register with the board I work for (Class Quick) at the very end of this article. OK here it is – You will most probably not get a job or any offers of employment by registering your CV with job boards unless you are in some way exceptional. There I said it. Although I bet some of you have already realised that. However read on and I will show you how you can get employment from job boards and what you are doing wrong.

Job boards primarily want you to register solely so that they can justify advertising fees to have jobs listed and so that recruitment companies can troll through the CV database to find staff. This is where the exceptional bit comes in. The bulk of jobs recruiters recruit for are the same week in week out. So all they do is run generic job adverts, the same ones, week in week out which supplies them with the staff to fill these positions. For hard to fill jobs then they trawl through the CV database. These however are usually exceptional jobs, in the same field as their usual jobs but there will be something slightly different about them. Maybe the position required that they can speak another language or it is in a different location than normal. So they hit the CV databases. Unless you have some to make you stand out on your CV listing you are not going to come up. You are being added to a database, some which are over 5 million in size, and you need to jump out and punch the person in the face and say here I am I need employment and you need to make some fees from me!

The majority of people posting CVs on boards totally over look key areas for work and key skills they have. Let me show you how to become exceptional!

1) Languages – In today’s society we are becoming a global economy. Business is done worldwide on a daily basis due largely due to the Internet. Even though English is the primary language not everyone speaks it. Say you are Dutch and living in England. Dutch is a massive advantage if applying for companies like ABN AMBRO Bank, KLM Airways as they are worldwide multinationals with their head quarters in Holland so they are going to take an applicant who speaks Dutch as well over someone who only speaks English. 99% about job hunting is targeting the correct companies.

2) Hobbies – Hobbies are one of the most undervalued assets a job seeker has. You need to connect with the person who recruiting and also show you can bring another skill set to the job. I know plenty of people who are great artists. Yet none of them have any qualifications in art at all. Why not take a few pictures of some of your pieces and put them on your CV? Sports are also under looked. Write down a list of any sporting achievements you have made and sports which you are actively involved in. This serves two purposes. One to show you are actually physically active and secondly you may get a connection with the recruiter in that they may participate in that sport as well.

3) Achievements at work or while studying – This is one of the main areas you become exceptional. Experience is really what the recruiter is looking for. Academic grades are very well and good but can you put it into practise? Experience isn’t just at work but projects at college and at home. Write them down and emphasise them. Show what you have done and how you have done it. Want to get real life experience fast? Sign up to FreeLancer.com it is worldwide and you can get small jobs very quickly that you can do at home. You can also build up your references from working there. Make sure whenever you write something down that you have achieved in the work place you also write down the skills you used to do it. This is one of the most important aspects of your CV.

Now that you know all of this I need you to register with Class Quick as a job seeker and post that newly improved CV! Why should you register with us? In my opinion you should register with everyone but the thing that is different about us in comparison to our much bigger rivals is that we actually pass your CV over to recruiters we know who are operating in your market area. That is what makes us much more effective and why we bring better results for our candidates and people posting jobs!

All the best!

Getting Graduates From The Source

Graduate recruitment is one of the main areas that Class Quick operates in. We started the company using contacts throughout Universities to fill positions and still have a massive presence in this area. For some reason, which works to our advantage, we find the majority of recruitment agencies don’t really understand how to get graduates or if they are getting them to get the right sort.

We attend the majority of graduate employment fairs across the UK and have gathered up a considerable database candidates, however we believe this database is worthless in comparison to our ability to be able to access graduates who are currently looking for employment in certain areas right this very minute. Just like all databases they start to decline in effectiveness pretty much after a few months after being created. Although as the candidates work and get experience then start looking for further employment then they become effective again.

While at these shows we see agencies at them. The majority of agencies at shows are wasting their time. They usually turn up to the wrong show for the candidates they require and don’t have the right tools to effectively gather data. We have been doing this for years we know exactly what we are doing.

Every University is different, different types of student and different areas of speciality. A business studies student from one University can actually have different goals and talents to one from a different University. We understand this.

Before targeting a University to get graduates ask yourself the following questions:

1) What does this University specialise in?

2) What background do the majority of students come from?

3) What extra curriculum activities does the University have clubs, sports, music etc?

After doing this you can start to figure out which University will provide you with the best candidates for your company.

Next up is what do you take to a show?

1) The amount of people we see, and this is the majority, who take graduates contact details by pen and paper. How many of those are legible the next day when putting them into the computer contacting them?

We use A5 size flyers which we hand out. A5 is perfect size as it fits directly into the back pocket of their trousers. We did have a specially designed site build solely for people registering their CVs that it led to. This did work very well and will be re-introduced soon. For the time being we just send them to the main site and get them to register there.

Someone once said to me “Well what if they don’t register when they get home? You have lost a candidate.”. If they don’t register when they get home then they aren’t worth wasting time with getting them a job.

2) Displays cut down work. We have  large back drop which we take. On this background is written pretty much the majority of questions that we get asked all the time. So people can read it and hopefully their question is answered before they talk to us. You can get over 1000 people at these fairs and cant give unlimited time to each person. The more you do to cut back on queries and more people you can give flyers to and get them signed up!

3) Finally the main reason they come to your stand – A big bowl of sweets!

If you need any assistance getting graduates from the source or if you want access to our graduate network please don’t hesitate to contact us.  We can supply 10 qualified graduates to most positions within two weeks maximum at a cost of only £20.
Thanks
